North Carolina basketball commit Ian Jackson has been impressive in his final year of high school with the Overtime Elite circuit. The five-star recruit is one of three players committed to UNC in the 2024 class and has been elevating his play before he gets on campus.
After being noticed by analysts for his hot start to the season, Jackson has now earned an honor.
Jackson was named the Overtime Elite Player of the Week after leading Jelly Fam to a 2-0 week. In the two games played, Jackson scored 24 points and then 30 points for the victories, leading his team to two much-needed wins.

After starting his high school career at Cardinal Hayes High School, Jackson made the decision to transfer in September to join Overtime Elite as a member of Our Saviour Lutheran. He will finish his career there before heading to North Carolina as a five-star recruit.
Jackson is joined by fellow five-star Drake Powell and four-star center James Brown in the Tar Heels 2024 class.
