LeBron James still leads the Western Conference in third All-Star voting returns

Lakers superstar LeBron James is on his way to a record 20th NBA All-Star game selection.

As of Thursday, there was exactly one month to go before the 2024 NBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis. LeBron James, barring something catastrophic, will be selected to and appear in his 20th All-Star game. While he holds the record for most All-Star game appearances, he can also claim the record for most All-Star selections.

He is currently tied in the latter category with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was chosen to but didn’t appear in the 1973 midseason classic.

The third returns of this year’s All-Star balloting are in, and James continues to lead everyone in the Western Conference with nearly four million votes.

Meanwhile, fellow Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis is fourth among West frontcourt players.

Voting will end on Saturday, and the starters for the All-Star contest will be announced on Jan. 25. This year, the All-Star game will return to its classic West versus East format.
