The Atlanta Falcons have requested an interview with Mike Vrabel, the former head coach of the Tennessee Titans, ESPN’s Adam Schefter announced on Thursday afternoon.
Vrabel compiled an overall record of 56-48 including the playoffs over his six seasons in Tennessee. In 2021, Vrabel won the NFL Coach of the Year award and led the Titans to three straight playoff appearances from 2019-2021.
Former Titans’ HC Mike Vrabel is interviewing today with the Los Angeles Chargers, as @TomPelissero reported. The Falcons and Seahawks also are interested in talking and meeting with Vrabel, per sources.

Vrabel was fired after two straight losing seasons and while some thought he was a lock for the Patriots opening, Jerod Mayo ended up getting the gig in New England. Vrabel’s son, Tyler is currently a member of Atlanta’s roster.
The Falcons have interviewed three candidates already this week — Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh and Brian Johnson — and they have a second interview scheduled this weekend with Belichick. Stay up to date with every interview and interview request using our Falcons head coach tracker.
