ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins is buying Victor Wembanyama as a superstar

Perk notes that critics of Wemby have not been separating what the prospect can do compared to the quality of players and play surrounding him.

If you ask ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins, people doubting the ceiling of San Antonio Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama are going to be in for a rude awakening. The former NBAer and current broadcaster weighed in on the San Antonio star on a recent episode of Richard Jefferson and Allie Clifton’s “Road Trippin'” podcast, and Big Perk had plenty to say about Wemby’s future in the league.

The ESPN analyst revealed he sees the Frenchman as the best player in the league for a decade or more, and a likely winner not only of multiple Most Valuable Player awards but also nods for Defensive Player of the Year.

Perk also notes that critics of Wemby have not been separating what the prospect can do compared to the quality of players and play surrounding him.
