Gators unable to crack Associated Press Poll vote for Week 11

Florida still remains voteless in the AP Poll despite the big win over Arkansas.

Todd Golden and the Gators got back on the winning track on Saturday against the Arkansas Razorbacks inside the O’Connell Center with a 90-68 victory. It snapped a two-game losing streak to open Southeastern Conference play and gave Florida its first 2024 triumph.

Despite the lopsided win, the beatdown the Ole Miss Rebels gave them the Wednesday prior in Oxford was apparently still fresh in the minds of the Associated Press voters on Monday. The Orange and Blue once again went voteless in the Week 11 update, just as it has since the last time the team earned votes — a pair in Oct. 16’s Week 1 edition.

The SEC schools included among the top 25 teams are the sixth-ranked Tennessee Volunteers, followed by the Kentucky Wildcats (No. 8), Auburn Tigers (No. 13) and Ole Miss (No. 22). The Alabama Crimson Tide (60), Mississippi State Bulldogs (3) and South Carolina Gamecocks (2) also earned votes.

Next up, the Gators return to the road to take on the Volunteers inside Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee, on Tuesday, Jan. 16. Tipoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET and the game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
