Brandin Podziemski has enjoyed a strong start to life in the NBA. The Golden State Warriors rookie is earning praise from teammates and players around the league. However, on Jan. 13, when the Warriors lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, Podziemski, a Wisconsin native, saw a former teacher in the crowd.
When speaking to the media after the game, Podziemski detailed the interaction with his former teacher. He noted she joked that she was happy he had attended military school, as that likely helped keep him out of trouble growing up.
Podziemski has played in 33 of the Warriors’ games so far this season. He is averaging 9.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists, shooting 46.3% from the field and 40.2% from 3-point range. He has quickly established himself as a core part of Golden State’s rotation and has earned multiple starts over the first half of the season.
