With Stephen Curry getting the night off, the Golden State Warriors needed someone to step up on Saturday night against the host Milwaukee Bucks.
Jonathan Kuminga answered the bell.
Although it wasn’t enough to secure a short-handed victory against Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kuminga tallied a career-high 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting from the field with three rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes.

Prior to Saturday’s 28-point performance for Kuminga, his previous career-high of 26 points came in December of 2021 against the Toronto Raptors.
The 21-year-old forward has notched 52 points over his last two games and has tallied double-figures in scoring in 19 consecutive games. Over his last eight games, Kuminga is averaging 17.4 points on 54.9% shooting from the field with five rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27.6 minutes per game.
Kuminga will have the chance to continue his strong stretch of play on Monday afternoon against the Memphis Grizzlies.
