Updated odds for Rams vs. 49ers with backup QBs starting

With many starters resting for both teams on Sunday, the Rams remain underdogs to the 49ers in the finale

The Los Angeles Rams aren’t going to rest all of their starters in Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers, but they will keep their top players off the field – including Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald.

The 49ers will take a similarly cautious approach, keeping Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey out of the lineup in the final game of the season. As a result, we’ll get Carson Wentz vs. Sam Darnold in the finale on Sunday, a matchup no one saw could have predicted even two months ago.

The oddsmakers all expected each team to rest its starters in some capacity when the lines were released on Monday, so they haven’t shifted a ton since the official announcements of which players won’t suit up.

According to BetMGM, the Rams are now 4-point underdogs after opening as 3.5-point underdogs on Monday.
