How to watch Saturday’s UNC-Clemson hoops battle

Clemson owns the football rivalry with UNC, but the Tar Heels dominate in basketball. The two schools face off Saturday afternoon in hoops.

The UNC men’s basketball program is in a good spot at the beginning of ACC play.

Carolina sits at 10-3 and is Top 10 in the AP Poll. The Heels have enjoyed a career year from shooting guard R.J. Davis, reliable contributions from transfers and more players in the rotation, which a lack thereof hurt UNC last year.

A Tuesday night road win against a gritty Pitt team followed a home drubbing of Charleston Southern. The week before Christmas, Carolina dominated previously-undefeated Oklahoma.

The road (literally) ahead stays tougher for UNC, with a 12 p.m. ET tip-off on Saturday, Jan. 6 in Clemson. The Tigers, led by 14th-year head coach Brad Brownell and star center P.J. Hall, sit at a pretty 11-2.

This is going to be a huge game day in South Carolina – and no, it’s not for football. Tiger fans know how to pack Memorial Stadium – they’ll be doing the same in Littlejohn Coliseum this weekend.

With a game that carries this many implications in the ACC, you might be wondering – how can you watch?

Good news – UNC-Clemson will be on national TV. Just plop your butt on the couch, turn your TV on and scroll to ESPN2.
