What [autotag]Porter Moser[/autotag] and this year’s basketball team have done in nonconference play is nothing short of incredible. The Sooners finished 12-1 and are ranked No. 11 in the country.
Their only loss was to the No. 9 North Carolina Tar Heels by 12 in what was essentially a road game. The Sooners are hoping to turn that hot start into a hot streak on the recruiting trail.
Back on Dec. 5, 2023, the Sooners hosted the No. 16 player in the 2025 class, power forward [autotag]Oswin Erhunmwunse[/autotag] from Putnam, CT. Then on Wednesday, the Sooners received a prediction to land the talented big man.

Now the Providence Friars have long been thought to be the favorite for Erhunmwunse and even still hold the advantage on On3’s prediction machine. They have a 40.4% chance of landing the big man whereas Oklahoma has a 15.3% chance.
But it’s still not out of the realm of possibility. He’d also go down as one of the highest-rated recruits ever to commit to the Sooners if he does go that route. There is also talk about him reclassifying to the 2024 class as well so that’s something to keep an eye on.
All in all, it will not be easy to get him to make the little over 1,600-mile trek to Norman but if they keep winning and keep improving, the Sooners will make a strong case for his services.
