It’s time for the final in-season version of the NFL power rankings. Next week, the league resets for the 14 playoff teams, but for 18 teams, the season is over, and the coaching carousel begins.
The Washington Commanders fell to 4-12 on the season after Sunday’s 27-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The game was surprisingly competitive through three quarters before Washington turned the ball over to open the fourth quarter, and the 49ers finally put the Commanders away.
The loss was Washington’s seventh in a row, but in some good news, the Commanders moved up another spot in the 2024 NFL draft order.
This week, Washington wraps up the regular season as a two-touchdown underdog to the Dallas Cowboys at FedEx Field. The Cowboys are playing for the NFC East title and the NFC’s No. 2 overall seed.
