The Colorado women’s basketball team has now won five in a row since losing to North Carolina State on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Over the weekend, the now 11-1 Buffs began Pac-12 Conference play with a 76-65 victory over Utah.
Up next, they have a two-game road trip with games against Arizona and Arizona State. Colorado faces the Wildcats on Friday night (6 p.m. MT) before traveling to Tempe to face the Sun Devils on Sunday (noon MT). Both games will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.
Arizona is 9-4 on the year but has played inconsistent basketball over the past month-plus, losing to Ole Miss, UNLV, Gonzaga and Texas. On New Year’s Eve, Arizona enjoyed an 89-52 blowout win over Seattle.
Kailyn Gilbert is averaging a team-high 15.4 points per game to go with 5.4 rebounds.
Colorado is ranked No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY Sports women’s basketball coaches poll and No. 5 in the AP Top 25.
