Bacot needed 13 points to reach the 2k mark, and he finished with 16 points, leading all UNC scorers. The moment happened in the second half, during a pivotal offensive surge by the Tar Heels to create separation.
Bacot joins Tyler Hansbrough(2,872), Phil Ford(2,290), Sam Perkins(2,145), Lennie Rosenbluth(2,047), Al Wood(2,015) and Charlie Scott(2,007).

Bacot returned to UNC to bring the national championship back to Chapel Hill and add to his Tar Heel legacy. This season Bacot has forced the double-team by dominating the paint, averaging 14.8 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
This year will continue to be fruitful for Bacot as he continues to ink his name in UNC history books while the team remains a championship contender.
Bacot and the Tar Heels will be back in action Saturday, as they travel to South Carolina for their second road conference game against Clemson.
