Former UNC cornerback [autotag]Tony Grimes[/autotag] has entered the transfer portal in search of new opportunities after a one-year stint with Texas A&M.
Grimes’s career with the Aggies never got started, to say the least, barely seeing the field due to a lingering injury. Grimes went on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) to inform the college world that he would be entering the transfer portal while expressing his gratitude for support from Texas A&M despite not being able to show his talents.
After Grimes made the post, UNC fans began to lobby for his return, noting the big hit UNC’s secondary took in the transfer portal. Even Tar Heel QB Marquise Williams tweeted for Grimes to come back “home”.
Come back home where you belong!
