Thursday Night Football primetime games may be a bit past the bedtime of 38-year-old quarterback Joe Flacco. Throwing for 300 yards in the first half en route to a blowout win against the New York Jets for the Cleveland Browns, the old veteran got caught dozing off on the sideline.
For a guy who was on the couch five weeks ago and watching the game in between naps, the father of five is still having a tough time adjusting to his new schedule. The 1:00 games are the norm, but the 8:15 PM games are a different beast for Flacco.
He got the job done, however, as the Browns won their 11th game of the season, clinching their first playoff berth in three years. Flacco has been a revelation in Cleveland, but still needs his beauty sleep as the season is just beginning for the Browns.
He better get adjusted before his next night game: The Super Bowl.
