Cowboys-Lions Final Injury Report: Tyron Smith questionable, Hankins still out for Week 17

The Cowboys’ offensive line is getting a reinforcement and he might be needed sooner rather than later. The final Week 17 practice report. | From @KDDrummondNFL

With their Week 17 game on Saturday night, the Dallas Cowboys are wrapping up their practice schedule a day earlier than usual. Thursday marked the final exercise before a Friday walkthrough, as the team looks to end their two-game losing streak against the Detroit Lions. Detroit comes in with an 11-4 record and their first NFC North title in several sitting presidents.

They also come with a fairly healthy lineup, though they have a couple key defenders still not being activated from IR. Dallas of course activated OT Matt Waletzko this week, and he may be needed as both starter Tyron Smith and embattled backup Chuma Edoga are on this week’s injury report.

Neither have been ruled out, however, as that unideal honor is bestowed upon defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, who will miss his third-straight contest. Also out is RB Rico Dowdle with an ankle injury. For the full reports from both organizations, check out the ledger below.
