WATCH: LSU’s Angel Reese returns to high school stomping grounds during trip to Baltimore

Angel Reese returned to St. Frances Academy during LSU’s trip to play Coppin State in Baltimore.

With LSU’s women’s basketball team making the trip to Baltimore last week to take on Coppin State, [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] had the opportunity to return to her hometown.

In a video produced by the Tigers, Reese returned to her high school stomping grounds at St. Frances Academy, showing off her retired high school jersey and championship banners, including one for volleyball, which she also played in high school.

“Baltimore has been everything to me,” Reese said. “I’m the player I am today because of Baltimore. I talk trash because of Baltimore, this is where I grew up and this is where I’m from. Being able to have this a part of my culture and just instilled in me, and they’ve made me who I am, I will always give back and come back here.”

Reese began her career at in-state Maryland, but she transferred to LSU last season where she emerged as one of the top players in the country as she led the Tigers to their first national championship in program history.

She’s off to another nice start in 2023-24 as LSU looks to repeat having won 12 games in a row since dropping its season-opener.
