Colts’ Jonathan Taylor will have full workload vs. Falcons

No restrictions for Jonathan Taylor in Week 16.

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor is making his return Sunday for the first time since undergoing thumb surgery, and he won’t have any restrictions against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16.

Taylor missed the last three games after he tore a ligament in his thumb, which required surgery. The last time he was on the field, he took 16 carries for 91 rushing yards and two touchdowns against a tough Tampa Bay Buccaneers run defense.

According to Larra Overton, head coach Shane Steichen implied there will be no restrictions on Taylor’s workload.

The Colts will be without running back Zack Moss (forearm) and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (concussion/shoulder) so we should expect plenty of work for Taylor on Sunday.

He will be taking on a Falcons defense that has allowed the 112.2 rushing yards per game and 3.9 yards per carry on the season.
