It was the best of times, and it was the worst of times.
As Michigan football closes out the regular season undefeated for the second straight year with a third straight College Football Playoff berth, along with signing the 2024 class on early signing day, it appears not everything can be lollipops and candy canes for the Wolverines.
According to The Detroit News’ Angelique Chengelis, Michigan has finally received a notice of allegations from the NCAA regarding the first ‘scandal’ the Wolverines started facing down a year ago.

Michigan has received a Notice of Allegations from the NCAA regarding its investigation into four alleged Level II violations, including meeting with two recruits during a COVID-19 recruiting dead period, that led to a Level I allegation against head football coach Jim Harbaugh for allegedly lying to and misleading investigators.
This is in reference to the allegations that Jim Harbaugh misled NCAA investigators about Level II recruiting violations, which surfaced last year in January following the Fiesta Bowl. The Wolverines are also facing a potential notice of allegations about Connor Stalions’ alleged sign-stealing scheme, which led to the staffer’s resignation and a three-game suspension by the Big Ten of Harbaugh. Harbaugh has already served a separate three-game suspension at the start of the 2023 season for these levied infractions.
Michigan will now have 90 days to respond to the notice of allegations.
