SEC names Aggie guard Wade Taylor IV Player of the Week

Texas A&M junior guard Wade Taylor IV in named the SEC Player of the Week after a strong week of play

Texas A&M Basketball Junior guard Wade Taylor IV was almost unstoppable in the second half of the Aggie game against arguably the team in the nation, the No. 4 ranked Houston Cougars. After an up-and-down start to the season and teams keying in on him, Taylor seemed to be finding his stride.

The SEC recognized the junior’s production after the big week by naming him SEC Player of the Week. Below is the excerpt from the release from the SEC officials:

Texas A&M guard Wade Taylor IV, a 6-foot, 175-pound junior from Dallas, Texas, had 34 points, four assists, three rebounds, and three steals against No. 4 Houston. Taylor single-handedly out-scored the Cougars 17-6 over a six-minute span to knot the score at 63-63 with 1:30 remaining. He finished the game just shy of his career high with 34 points, including a career-best six 3-pointers. Twenty-six of his points came in the second half
