The Pittsburgh Steelers have been through some very tough weeks this season. On Saturday, they might have set a new low in a 30-13 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The Steelers failed on all fronts and after jumping out to a 13-0 lead, completely collapsed and gave up 31 points straight.
One reason the Steelers were unable to hold onto that 13-point lead was the fact that Pittsburgh could not run the football. After several weeks of improved running the football, the combination of Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren fell flat. It wasn’t all to do with them as the offensive line was absolutely dreadful but for Harris, it was enough that he had no interest in talking about it after the game.
Several beat writers reported that Harris refused to talk to the media after the game, which is technically a violation of league policy. This is in no way the first time Harris has shirked his responsibility to speak with the media after the game and it probably won’t be the last.
To be fair, what is the point of having Harris or any players talk about the debacle on Saturday? They have no answers. If they did, they wouldn’t have gotten blown out. Putting these players on the spot does no one any good and you can tell in recent weeks they have had their fill of answering the same questions week after week that they don’t have the answers to.
