Legacy Motor Club’s drastic improvement creates optimism for 2024

Legacy Motor Club saw a drastic improvement in performance to close out the 2023 season. Here is why that should create optimism for 2024.

[autotag]Legacy Motor Club[/autotag] had a rough start to the 2023 NASCAR season, and it didn’t improve until August. In fact, the last 10 races of the season were a great improvement. Erik Jones was the 20th-highest points earner during the playoffs, while Carson Hocevar earned five top-20 finishes in eight races during that same stretch.

It may not be on the same level as the 2022 NASCAR season when Jones won the Southern 500; however, any progress is good for Legacy Motor Club. With Jimmie Johnson having a full year under his belt and the organization moving to Toyota, there should be plenty of reasons to be optimistic about what lies ahead for Jones and John Hunter Nemechek.

The two drivers have shown great potential in the lower ranks of NASCAR with Toyota, and a return to the manufacturer will only improve their driving abilities. Legacy Motor Club has a better opportunity with Toyota. Jones and Nemechek could fight for a playoff spot under the best-case scenario, and the future of Legacy Motor Club has never been brighter.
