There wasn’t a ton of talk between [autotag]Tony Ferguson[/autotag] and [autotag]Paddy Pimblett[/autotag] in the lead up to UFC 296, but that no longer holds.
The two UFC lightweight stars went at each other verbally during Thursday’s UFC 296 pre-fight press conference. What started out respectfully ended in a back and forth bickering with both fighters riled up.
You can watch the video of their heated exchange above.
Ferguson (25-9 MMA, 15-7 UFC) and Pimblett (20-3 MMA, 4-0 UFC) collide on the main card of UFC 296 – which is the final pay-per-view for the promotion in 2023. The event takes place Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN2 and early prelims on ESPN+.
Pimblett looks to resume his career after havinga foot surgery that put him out for a year. The last time he fought was in December 2022, winning a controversial decision against Jared Gordon.
On the other hand, Ferguson, a former UFC interim lightweight champion, looks to snap a six-fight losing streak. The 39-year-old last won a fight in 2019 when he stopped Donald Cerrone.
