Wisconsin’s work in the transfer portal continued today when it landed LSU transfer tight end Jackson McGohan.
McGohan was a three-star recruit in the class of 2023 and had actually committed to Luke Fickell at Cincinnati before decommitting when Fickell took the job at Wisconsin. He was the No. 558 player in the class of 2023, No. 25 tight end and No. 17 recruit from the state of Ohio.
The tight end joins a position group that was a weakness for the 2023 Badgers. A lack of depth paired with no big-time receiving talent rendered the position nearly entirely obsolete during the 2023 regular season. I’d bet Fickell’s pursuit of McGohan is a direct attempt to change that entering 2024.

McGohan joins Wisconsin’s 2024 transfer class which now consists of QB Tyler Van Dyke, EDGE John Pius, LS Cayson Pfeiffer and OLB Leon Lowery. It is 247Sports’ No. 13 class at the moment.
