Among the handful of players entering the transfer portal from North Carolina is wide receiver Andre Greene Jr. following the 2023 regular season.
Greene Jr. was one of a few wide receivers to leave after finding themselves buried on the depth chart a bit. And while Ty Chapman has already found a home, it appears as if Greene Jr. is on his way to doing that as well.
Adam Gorney of Rivals talked about some visits upcoming for players in the portal and mentioned some teams that are in the race for Greene Jr. including an Atlantic Coast Conference program.
Penn State is the team to watch for Greene as the Nittany Lions were high on his list coming out of high school, he’s already visited Happy Valley and that program needs help at receiver which could come from the portal. But Virginia has done an “excellent job” with Greene over the last many days and then Wisconsin should be watched along with Florida since both have coaching connections from when he was recruited to the Tar Heels.
As Gorney mentions, the Nittany Lions appear to be the favorites but we can’t count out Wisconsin, Florida or Virginia just yet.
