The Auburn Tigers play the UNC Asheville Bulldogs on Wednesday at Von Braun Center in Huntsville, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Auburn Tigers (6-2) look to build on the momentum gained from last Saturday’s win over Indiana by facing Asheville (5-5) in another neutral site affair.
The Bulldogs’ best win entering Wednesday’s contest is a 77-67 win over Western Kentucky, who is ranked No. 148 in the latest KenPom update. After defeating Indiana by 28 points last week, and with an important game with USC this weekend, it is easy to assume that Auburn should have zero issues with Asheville.
However, a similar situation occurred earlier this season. Auburn defeated Virginia Tech, 74-57, then lost to Appalachian State on the road. Head coach [autotag]Bruce Pearl[/autotag] hopes that his team has learned how to avoid another dreaded “trap game” performance.
“We’ve talked to the team about it. We lost at App State not because we weren’t prepared or ready, we got outplayed. Those guards made some big shots. Again, we got better and we learned from some of the things we didn’t do. Hopefully, we’ll continue to get better,” Pearl said Tuesday. “Asheville won their league last year and they are picked to win their league again. They might not be as good as a year ago, but obviously they know how to win and they’ve played a tough schedule.”
