Report: Patriots’ Rhamondre Stevenson expected to miss ‘a few weeks’

If the #Bills are alive when they play the #Patriots, this could be a big one:

The Buffalo Bills’ playoff push is in full force as the team comes out of their bye week with a .500 record.

When you’re sitting on the outside looking in of the playoff picture, every little advantage counts–even if it’s over the bottomfeeder in the conference.

The New England Patriots (2-10) and Bills (6-6) will have Round 2 of their divisional matchups this season in Week 17.

At this point, it looks like the Pats could be without their best (and really only) star on offense when they travel to Buffalo.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson suffered a high-ankle sprain in New England’s 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers last week.

He’s expected to miss multiple weeks:

The Pats do sport a backfield with Ezekiel Elliot as well but Stevenson has been the lead back so far in 2023. He has 156 carries to Elliott’s 112 and leads the Patriots with 619 rushing yards.

And, considering the Pats’ bleak outlook in last place in both the conference and AFC East, New England could just shut him down for the season, leaving him unavailable for the entire stretch run.

Bills Wire will provide updates as the Week 17 matchup creeps closer.
