Are the Boston Celtics the NBA’s best ball club to start the NBA’s 2023-24 season? Would it be fairer to give that nod to the defending champs, the Denver Nuggets? Or could it be one of the younger, up-and-coming teams like the Minnesota Timberwolves, or the Orlando Magic?

In a recent episode of “The Athletic NBA Show”, the hosts engaged in a boisterous debate about the best team in the NBA so far this season, and as one might expect, there were some strong opinions being thrown around — and not much of a consensus was to be had, either.
