Brandin Podziemski referred to Gary Payton II as “twin” in a recent message of support on X (formerly known as Twitter.)
The Golden State Warriors rookie responded to the veteran’s post, claiming the Warriors would “shake back” regarding their recent slump and his current injury struggles.
Payton had only recently returned to the rotation. He had missed three games and returned to the lineup on Nov. 24 when the Warriors played the San Antonio Spurs. The veteran’s latest injury doesn’t have a timetable regarding a potential return.
It would appear Podziemski is growing closer with the veteran talent around him. Sending messages of support on social media isn’t often something you see between teammates. Yet, Podziemski has made a big impact since joining the team this summer and appears to be enjoying himself and relishing the battle the Warriors are currently facing.
We goin hold it down for ya twin🤞🏽🖤 https://t.co/aDGYXOncn8

With Payton out of the rotation, Podziemski could see additional minutes. As such, he will have an opportunity to make an impact when the Warriors face the LA Clippers on Thursday (Nov. 30.)
