NASCAR is ready for its annual banquet during Champion’s Week, but the sport doesn’t hand out honors, such as the NFL, NBA, and MLB. There is no “MVP” award, so Motorsports Wire will give out these honors using a points system that will stay the same each year. It is a fair and fun way to give drivers the awards they deserve every season.
All 36 races will matter when it comes to deciding who will be awarded. There will be six different categories: Most Valuable Driver, Most Improved Driver, Short Track Driver of the Year, Intermediate Driver of the Year, Superspeedway Driver of the Year, and Road Course Driver of the Year.
