After winning seven of nine games and looking primed to take a step forward, the Los Angeles Lakers suffered a major setback, a 138-94 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
It was one of the most lopsided defeats in Lakers history and the most lopsided loss of LeBron James’ career. The Sixers were as hot as the Sahara from 3-point range, and they massively outplayed L.A. in the rebounding and free throw departments.
The Lakers found themselves short-handed once again on Monday. Cam Reddish, Rui Hachimura, Jarred Vanderbilt and Gabe Vincent missed the game versus Philly.
Reddish could return on Wednesday when they visit the Detroit Pistons; he has been upgraded to probable.

Reddish missed L.A.’s last three games with groin soreness. His promotion to the starting lineup on Nov. 10 seemed to coincide with its turnaround after a 3-5 start.
Since then, the Lakers have greatly improved on the defensive end, and Reddish’s ability to get steals and deflections has been one reason.
