While Boston Celtics two way big man Neemias Queta may be far from the most famous player on his team’s roster, he does have a dedicated following who are always happy to see the Portuguese center get on the floor. And in the Celtics’ 113-103 win over the Atlanta Hawks at TD Garden on Sunday, Queta had his best rebounding game of his career at the NBA level, giving those fans plenty to celebrate.
The Lisbon native put up 7 points, 10 rebounds (including 6 offensive boards), and a steal in just 15 minutes of floor time. Queta shot 3-of-8 from the floor overall, and a perfect 1-of-1 from the free throw line, with no fouls or turnovers to his name over that stretch. And while his offense could have been more efficient, what the Utah State alum did on the defensive end changed the game for Boston.
To see the best of his play against the Hawks at the Garden on Sunday for yourself, take a look at the clip embedded below from fan-favorite videographer Tomasz Kordylewski.
