The Boston Celtics trade for star Latvian big man Kristaps Porzingis has proven to be among the biggest steals of the 2023 NBA offseason, yet the Celtics sometimes seem to be reticent to lean into all the things Porzingis can provide for both of the Celtics other two star players.
Both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown can benefit from playing more closely with Porzingis, and the latter seems to have developed a growing chemistry with the big man in the pick and roll. And on the defensive end of the court, there’s room for improvement as well. The Celtics still have room to grow as they get to know KP’s game and vice versa.
