Tramon Mark’s huge game for Arkansas marred by injury scare, loss to North Carolina

Tramon Mark dropped 34 points for Arkansas, but suffered a back injury at the end of the team’s loss to North Carolina.

The Arkansas Razorbacks suffered a loss to North Carolina in the third-round game of the Battle 4 Atlantis, 87-72, despite a career-high 34 points from guard Tramon Mark.

Unfortunately, the performance not only came in a losing effort for the Hogs but ended with a scary injury for Mark – who landed hard on his back near the end of the game and remained on the floor for multiple minutes before he was ultimately carted off on a stretcher in front of a hushed crown in the Bahamas.

After the game, Arkansas coach Eric Musselman confirmed Mark’s injury is to his back, not his head or his neck, although the extent of the injury is unknown at this time.

Mark is averaging 15.8 points through Arkansas’ first seven games, along with 2.3 boards, 1.3 assists, and one steal.

The Hogs drop to 4-3 on the year, and will certainly need Mark healthy if they want to compete in the loaded SEC this college basketball season.
