Fresh off a win over Texas Southern to move to 5-1 on the season, the No. 7 LSU women’s basketball team is leaving the country to take part in the Cayman Islands Classic this weekend, in which it will face Niagara on Friday and Virginia on Saturday.
First up is the 2-2 Purple Eagles, which come in off a win against Stonehill. They’re 2-2 overall on the season having taken losses to Duquesne and Buffalo. The matchup against the Tigers will be their first against a power conference opponent this season.
