Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade: How to watch the Rutgers University marching band

The Rutgers University marching band is performing on Thanksgiving at the Macy’s parade.

The famed Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, one of the most iconic moments of the holiday season, will host a performance from the Rutgers University marching band. It is the first-ever appearance of the band in the historic parade.

  • When: Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 23) from 8:30 a.m. to noon
  • How to watch: The parade will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock

If you missed Rutgers marching live, don’t worry! There will be a rebroadcast of the parade in a shortened form from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Rutgers is one of 11 marching bands that will be performing at the Macy’s parade. The parade went mainstream as a central part of the plot for the original 1947 movie Miracle on 34th Street.

On Monday during his weekly press conference, Rutgers football head coach Greg Schiano gave the band a shoutout.
