Davidson offensive lineman thanks Oprah, Winston Churchill in splendid NFL Draft announcement

NAILED IT.

Barclay Briggs might have dropped the best NFL Draft announcement of all time, and it’s not even close.

Davidson College offensive lineman Barclay Briggs, whose name sounds like it’s straight out of a Key & Peele skit, announced his intent to enter the 2024 NFL Draft on Tuesday with one of the wildest ways to announce a decision we’ve ever seen.

With the caption “Acts 2:15” (a possible reference to a verse about not being drunk), Briggs shared the next step in his playing career by saying that despite being a career backup who only played during blowouts or when starters got injured, he is ready for the next step.

He then launches into a list of important people to thank that included (*checks notes*) Oprah and Winston Churchill because who else would you have on such an essential list?

This is tremendous.
