Ahead of Clemson’s matchup against South Carolina, Dabo Swinney met with the media Tuesday and updated the injury status of multiple players.
Starting wide receiver Beaux Collins was injured against North Carolina last Saturday, and it sounds like he won’t be playing against the Gamecocks. Swinney had this to say when asked if he would be practicing this week.
“Probably not, but we’ll see today,” Swinney said. “He was just really sore yesterday. He’s going to be fine, so, he’s kind of tender.”
Another wide receiver got an injury update as well. The Tigers have been without Antonio Williams for some time and according to Swinney, he is close to a return. The classic day-to-day label has been put on him.
“He’s close,” Swinney said, “but he’s still in that day to day status for us.”
When asked if wide receiver Troy Stellato was okay, Swinney gave a simple “yeah”. Clemson hopes to be as close to full health as possible for this big matchup against the Gamecocks.
