It is no secret around the NBA that Dillon Brooks has branded himself as an adversary of LeBron James. It started when Brooks called James “old” during the first round of last season’s playoffs, and then hit him in the groin during Game 3 and got ejected.
Prior to Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets at Crypto.com Arena, Brooks doubled down on his comment from April, saying he still feels James is “old.”
But the 38-year-old looked anything but aged on Sunday. He was very efficient while helping L.A. build a second-half lead over the 6-4 Rockets. Late in the third quarter, he scored on Brooks and emphatically gave the mercurial forward the “too small” gesture.

This is the first game of three in a row at home for the Lakers. They will wrap up that stretch on Wednesday with a game against Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks, who have had a fast start this season.
