Are the Boston Celtics just better than the rest of the East?

Is there any other team that can challenge Boston as the top team in the league’s Eastern Conference?

The Boston Celtics are currently the best team in the East, with a 10-2 record after beating the Toronto Raptors on the road on Friday night — could they be the best team in the NBA so far this season? The Celtics are performing well, even on nights when missing key players such as Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis as was the case in a recent victory over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Stock Exchange — a popular nickname for Jrue Holiday and Derrick White — has been the league’s stingiest backcourt combo whose defensive capabilities and scoring ability make them a formidable force for the league to reckon with this season. Elsewhere in the East, the 76ers have improved since their trades, but still have inconsistencies and the Milwaukee Bucks have struggled defensively this season.

Is there any other team that can challenge Boston as the top team in the league’s Eastern Conference?

The hosts of the “Locked On NBA” podcast explored this question on a recent episode after Boston’s win vs. Philly; check it out above!
