Brooklyn Nets guard Cam Thomas has missed the past three games, including Tuesday’s 124-104 win over the Orlando Magic, with his left ankle sprain. The day after Thomas injured his ankle in Brooklyn’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Nov. 8, the Nets said that he would be re-evaluated in two weeks time.
Since then, there hasn’t been an update on Thomas’ condition other than whether he was using a scooter to get around at practice. However, on Tuesday, Thomas gave the media an update on his ankle and what the next week should look like since it’ll be when he’s looked at again.
Thomas said that he’s feeling better and that his ankle is getting better by the day so he’s just taking it from there. He also said that he’s looking forward to get back so that he can help the Nets the best way he can, given that he’s having one of the best scoring seasons in the NBA right now.
Here’s more of what Thomas had to say:
“Yeah, this was more of a ankle sprain because I sprained my ankle other times, but it (those ankle sprains) was more like just a quick one then I’m back next game or coming back in the same game. But, this was more of an (severe) ankle sprain. So, it’s one of my first ones so it’s all good.”
