We have been saying it all year. [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag] is the best quarterback in the NCAA. In 10 games this season, Daniels has thrown for 3,164 yards, 30 touchdowns, four interceptions, and a 71.4% completion percentage. He is also 82 yards away from rushing for 1,000 yards this season. There is nothing he can’t do.
The bigwigs in the NFL are finally starting to take notice as Mel Kiper Jr. has mentioned that Daniels is now flying up draft boards. He should be. Daniels should be the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner. No matter what the Tigers record ends at. Here is what Kiper had to say about Daniels this week.
“It’s rare to find a game manager, who is also a supreme playmaker,” Kiper said, per On3. “And that’s what Jayden Daniels is. [He has] 47 touchdowns, only seven picks over the last two years. He’s at 70 percent completion percentage, with 19 rushing touchdowns,” Kiper said. “His deep ball accuracy and touch. His ability to, when he runs, you know he’s elusive. You know he can run through tacklers, can run through contact. He, to me, is a heck of a football player. He’s a tough kid. I want him on my team. And I think he is rising. I’ve got a second-round grade right now on Jayden Daniels.”
Labeling Daniels as a ‘game manager’ seems insane to me. He is way more than that.
