Vikings place ILB Jordan Hicks on injured reserve

The move means that Hicks will miss at minimum the next four games

On the same day that he was released from the hospital, the Minnesota Vikings have placed inside linebacker Jordan Hicks on injured reserve.

Hicks had already been announced as out for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos and now the earliest he can return in on Christmas Eve against the Detroit Lions.

In a move that was designed to provide the Vikings with more depth, they signed Anthony Barr to the practice squad. The move brought a lot of excitement since the Vikings drafted Barr in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft.

With Hicks out for a significant amount of time, Ivan Pace Jr. will be expected to step up in a major way, especially with the green dot.
