The Brooklyn Nets will be facing the Orlando Magic on Tuesday for the third game of their slate in the NBA In-Season Tournament, but they will be doing so without one of their most important players once again.
On Monday, the Nets announced that guard Ben Simmons is ruled out for Tuesday’s game against the Magic. That means that Simmons will be missing his fourth consecutive game with his left hip issue that was initially reported as soreness and now is being reported as a contusion. As expected, scoring dynamo guard Cam Thomas is ruled out and will miss his third straight game with his sprained left ankle.
Outside of those two players, there was an addition to the injury report in terms of Lonnie Walker IV, who is listed as questionable against Orlando with a left knee contusion. Walker hurt his knee in Sunday’s 102-94 win over the Washington Wizards after he took a hard fall to the court following an attempted layup through contact.
#Nets say that Lonnie Walker IV (left knee contusion) is questionable for tomorrow's game against the Orlando Magic.
Ben Simmons (left hip contusion) and Cam Thomas (left ankle sprain) have been ruled out.
Simmons will miss his 4th straight game while Thomas will miss his 3rd.
