The Philadelphia 76ers are on a tear to begin the 2023-24 season. Despite the drama surrounding James Harden combined with new coach Nick Nurse implementing a new style and system, the Sixers have won eight in a row and are 8-1 to begin the season.
Obviously, the play of Tyrese Maxey has been a big story, especially after he scored a career-high 50 points in Sunday’s win over the Indiana Pacers. Joel Embiid continues to be one of the top players in the game.
On Monday, Embiid was named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. He averaged 36.3 points, 12.5 rebounds and 5 assists during the week. Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards took home the honors in the West.

Embiid and the Sixers are rolling. They look to win a ninth game in a row on Tuesday when they host the Indiana Pacers for a rematch.
