North Carolina is now 2-0 after using a big second-half run to blow past Lehigh on Sunday afternoon, almost a week after they beat Radford in the opener.
Like Radford did, Lehigh was able to hang around a little longer than UNC wanted them too. They even got the lead down to just three points with over 13 minutes left in the second half. But then the Tar Heels turned up the intensity on both sides of the ball.
Led by Armando Bacot’s 22 points and 20 rebound performance, UNC cruised to a 90-68 win. Fellow starter R.J. Davis scored 22 points as well with Harrison Ingram adding 14 in the win.
For Hubert Davis, there are some things he can take away from these non-conference games before the schedule gets tougher. And it’s best to clean it up now before it becomes a habit.
