LSU quarterback seems to be rapidly pushing himself as a true Heisman contender. Daniels has consistently dominated college football with the best stretch of play at the quarterback position that we have seen from a pure numbers perspective. In LSU’s win against Florida, Daniels had his best performance yet.
Daniels looked efficient and snappy as a passer, delivering 17 of 26 completions for 372 yards and three touchdowns. While his air dominance was certainly impressive, it was his game on the ground that helped seal this performance as one of the best ones we’ve seen. Daniels accounted for 234 and a pair of touchdowns on the ground, which helped LSU put up a whopping 52 points in the big win over Florida.
If Daniels can keep even close to the type of production he has been putting up over the past two months he is going to make it hard for both Heisman voters and NFL scouts to ignore. It’s a refreshing change for the senior who has battled hard through the seasons to be in this position, and he has capitalized on his experience in a big way. While Daniels isn’t necessarily a lock for the first round, NFL teams must take notice with how efficient and dynamic he has been this season.
