VanVleet’s bucket ended up being the last field goal of the game. Houston went to the line twice before the final whistle; VanVleet converted both of his shots and Jalen Green went 1-of-2. Larry Nance Jr. went 1-of-2 from the line for the Pelicans.
As such, Houston won their fifth straight game. VanVleet’s big-time 3 is what laid the foundations for his team to ward off the threat by New Orleans and keep its momentum heading in the right direction.
