Browns DE Myles Garrett doubles down on his Joe Burrow vs. Lamar Jackson take

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett defended picking Joe Burrow over Lamar Jackson ahead of Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Cleveland Browns defense end Myles Garrett has faced Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson a few times in his career already.

But earlier this week, he told Kay Adams on FanDuel TV’s “Up & Adams” that he’d take Burrow over Jackson “right now.”

Garrett said all this despite his Browns facing Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens in Week 10 in a huge AFC North clash. And when reporters pressed him on that quote this week, Garrett didn’t waffle on his pick and clarified why he said Burrow is better than Jackson.

“Burrow has gone farther,” Garrett said Friday. “He’s produced at a higher level at this point in his career, even though Lamar has an MVP and he’s more dynamic at what he does. But I think the results that Burrow has come up with speak for themselves. Not saying that can’t change any given day, but I give Burrow the nod for what he’s been able to accomplish.”

Statistically speaking, Jackson actually has had better production than Burrow and, as Garrett said, Jackson already has an NFL MVP award. But Jackson has also played in 29 more games than Burrow. But, as Garrett alluded to, Burrow is 5-2 in the postseason and lost Super Bowl LVI but a field goal. Jackson is only 1-3 in the playoffs

Garrett, meanwhile, has sacked Burrow nine times in his career and has only taken Jackson down four times. He has a chance to add to that total this week in a pivotal game for the Browns.
