Nets’ Cam Johnson available Friday vs. Celtics; Ben Simmons out again

Against the Boston Celtics on Friday, the Brooklyn Nets will have Cam Johnson back, but will be missing Ben Simmons again.

The Brooklyn Nets will be facing the Boston Celtics on Friday for their second game of the In-Season Tournament, but as it seems to be normal for the Nets this season, they will be missing another player due to injury. However, there was some good news as well.

On Friday, Brooklyn announced that forward Cam Johnson, who has missed the last seven games due to a left calf strain, is available for Friday’s matchup with the Celtics. Johnson suffered his injury in the Nets’ season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Oct. 25 and has been rehabbing the injury ever since.

In more unfortunate news for Brooklyn, guard Ben Simmons was ruled out for the second straight game due to soreness in his left hip. Simmons originally sustained the injury in Monday’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks and as a result, he was inactive for Wednesday’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers.
